Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that works with the energy fields of the body to promote balance, relaxation, and healing. It is a non-invasive, gentle practice that is safe for all ages and can be used to address a variety of physical, emotional, and spiritual issues. Reiki sessions usually last between 60 - 75 minutes. In a comfortable environment, you will lay on a table with calm relaxing music playing in the background. The practitioner will move their hands around your body. They may touch you lightly or have their hands just above your body. Every experience is different, some people experience hot or cold sensations throughout their body, some feel tingling and some do not experience any physical sensations during the session. Some people report seeing visualizations such as colors or pictures, or having memories appear. Try to allow whatever arises to pass without attaching too much meaning to it. Your experiences may become deeper the more you continue with reiki. The benefit of a Healing Session will continue for days even weeks following the session.
